How to remain a member or join EUFAPA?

Membership for the European Federation of Adapted Physical Activity (EUFAPA) is mainly based on attendance of the biennial conference. Yet, for some people, it is not possible to attend, but they would like to remain a member of EUFAPA.

This year EUCAPA 2022 is held in Coimbra. This is the first scientific conference in Adapted Physical Activity since the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Despite the success of the EUCAPA 2020 online event, it is a very exciting time for people to come together, celebrate scientific advances in Adapted Physical Activity as well as share good practices.

This has lead to some challenges in the way that we could manage membership and furthermore, there are a number of by-law changes to the organisation. It is therefore important for people who are passionate about Adapted Physical Activity in Europe (and beyond) to take part in the general assembly and be able to cast their votes on these changes. Membership from 2020 ends at EUCAPA 2022, and new membership (2022-2024) begins then too. Only current members are able to vote on these changes. We have therefore set up a way for people who cannot attend EUCAPA in person to renew or sign up as a member.

There is a two step process to renew or join as a member

  1. Complete your details on the registration form – https://bit.ly/EUFAPA2022
  2. Make payment through stripe. Details can be found from – https://eufapa.eu/checkout

Only when we receive payment (after step 2) do you officially become a member (and have the possibility to vote in the General Assembly) until 2024.

For queries about this process, feel free to send a message to the EUFAPA secretary.
