This year, several members of the EUFAPA Board will complete their terms of service. At the upcoming General Assembly in Prague, our current Past-President, Aija Klavina, will finalize her mandate, and our current President, Javier Pérez, will transition to the role of EUFAPA Past-President.

An election will be held in June 2026 during the EUCAPA conference in Prague (Czech Republic) for the following positions:

  • President-elect

  • Treasurer

  • Regional Representative

We invite all EUFAPA members to identify competent and motivated nominees for these three leadership roles.

📜 Guidelines and Procedures

Prior to submitting your candidates, please review Articles 10.1 – 10.4 of the EUFAPA Bylaws (available at www.eufapa.eu).

Key Points from the Bylaws:

  • Role: The Board of Directors is the executive representative of EUFAPA and manages business between General Assemblies (GA).

  • Elections: Board members are elected at the GA based on nominations from EUFAPA members.

  • Terms: Most positions are for two biennial terms (4 years). However, the positions of President-Elect, Past President, and Regional Representative consist of one biennial term (2 years).

📩 Nomination Process

All members have the right to propose candidates (self-nominations are permitted). Nominations must be submitted in writing and include the following documentation:

  1. Statement of Support: Addressing the candidate’s qualifications for the specific duties.

  2. Short Biography: Approximately 250 words.

  3. Summary of Scientific Work.

  4. Signed Statement: A confirmation from the nominee agreeing to stand for election.
