About the Event

To celebrate International Day for People with Disabilities, join us for an informative and interactive online live broadcast titled ‘Adapting – How Change Creates Opportunities’. Cara, in association with Sport Ireland, are delighted to host this live online event which will include a morning of interviews, panel discussions, personal stories from a host of special guests. It will focus on how small changes to facilities, mind-sets and practices can create life-changing opportunities for people with disabilities through sport and physical activity.

Keynote speakers include

  • Professor James Rimmer, “Beyond Sport – Using all forms of wellness to optimise resilience in people with disabilities“
  • Ellen Keane. Three time Paralympian

This Live Cast is free and open for anyone to attend, and may be of particular interest to those in the follow areas:

• National Governing Bodies of Sport managers, development officers and coaches
• Local Sports Partnership coordinators, sports inclusion disability officers (SIDO) and sports development officers (SDO)
